MACBETH
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Leslie Reidel
Thompson Theatre
Nov. 13 - Dec. 7, 2014

Homeward bound from victorious battle, Macbeth witnesses a prophecy from three witches: he will sit on Scotland’s throne.  Once planted, this seed of lethal ambition grows into an all-consuming desire not only for Macbeth but for his impassioned wife.  A king is murdered, heirs are dispatched, a crown is seized, and the prophecy plays out to its bitter and bloody end.

The Bard’s tragedy of betrayal, power, and vicious political aspiration is a timeless and timely warning of how the rush of glory and power can transform into greed, treachery, and personal destruction.

MACBETH runs approximately one hour and fifty-five minutes with no intermission.
